DFID - Nigeria (Department for International Development)

For last three years, our consultants have been working on HCP project in Nigeria. The project supports the capacity building to address basic diseases like Malaria, TB, EOC, Children under 5 diseases etc, but the project does not support HIV/AIDS.
We are the point of contact for DFID, Crown Agents, the PATHS programme, donor agencies, state governments and NGO umbrella organizations regarding project activities and progress and a timely flow of information between them.
Finalizing quantification of all health products and procurement plan
Preparation of work plans and estimates
Preparation of progress reports including financial forecast and expenditure status
Organization and servicing of meetings of the Technical Working Group, including preparation of the agenda, action taking and regular liaison with its members
To better co-ordinate HCP plans and activities with existing and new DFID projects and programmes and working with other donor and UN agencies in particular the World Bank/ADB HSDP2 Project, the EU PRIME project, USAID, UNICEF and WHO
Liaison with Federal, State and LGA health authorities and other key stakeholders as required
Organising/coordinating the assessment needs and selection process for participating facilities in the selected states
Preparation of overall and individual state plans for the ‘roll-out’ process to the selected states in conjunction with Crown Agents and PATHS
Assistance with agreed tasks relating to the roll-out process to individual states including the organization of participatory consultation mechanisms as required
To monitor project progress against the logframe, obtaining the means of verification of purpose and output indicators
Overseeing and managing the work of the civil society coalition responsible for poverty monitoring and dissemination activities of the project
Alert DFID, PATHS and Crown Agents to any potential problems and ensure the prompt resolution of any obstacles or difficulties that might be encountered
Ensuring appropriate systems and procedures including audit trail are implemented for asset management, delivery & distribution management, and storage in close collaboration with Crown Agents and PATHS
Ensuring appropriate systems and procedures are implemented in close collaboration with Crown Agents and PATHS to eliminate any opportunities or possibilities of fraud or corruption. |
JSI/Deliver
(a) In Dec 2005 i2i Consults was awarded the responsibility by JSI/ Deliver to Develop Procurement Policy and Procurement Manual for MoH & FW, Uttaranchal State Govt., India, and to prepare action plan for the implementation of the same.
We successfully developed the procurement policy and procurement manual which was accepted by MoH & FW, of the State government
(b) In Aug 2004 also, we were awarded work buy JSI/Deliver to Prepare Strategic Plan for Logistics Management for Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Uttaranchal State, India, and to prepare an Action Plan to implement the same.
Our proposals and the action plan were accepted by JSI/Deliver, USAID and MoH&FW Uttaranchal State Govt. |
Global Fund/MOH - East Timor
In July 2004, our consultancy was awarded the work to establish the procurement process of the GFATM funded programs in MOH in Timor Leste, the mandate included to Establish the Logistics Distribution Process, Build in the whole system, product forecasting, procurement, inventory management, distribution and product use. We were also asked to describe the mandate for Sub Recipient procurement and monitoring of these plans.
i2i completed the assignment and submitted the report which was accepted by MOH, LFA and Global Fund and consequently grants were released.

UNOPS
We were contracted by UNOPS (which worked as LFA for global fund in India) to assess the procurement plan of NACO (National Aids Control Organization, India), principal recipient for global fund grant, in December 2004. It was successfully done and the report was accepted.
